Hi, my name is Spencer Stroschein, a wildlife and landscape photographer shaped by the woods, waters, and wide skies of northern Minnesota.
I grew up in Duluth, where the edge of Lake Superior and the call of the North Shore were never far. Some of my earliest memories are of camping trips, misty mornings in pine forests, and quiet evenings watching loons from the shore. Those experiences gave me a lifelong love for the outdoors—and a desire to capture the beauty, stillness, and wildness I found there.
My work is inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the north: rocky shorelines, dense boreal forests, distant ridgelines, and the animals that move quietly through them. Through photography, I try to hold onto those moments of connection—when nature feels both vast and deeply personal.
Whether I’m hiking along the Superior Hiking Trail, sketching from a campsite, or working in the studio, I carry that same sense of wonder and respect into every piece I create.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I hope my work invites you to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the wild places that inspire us all.
